We just finished the Annapurna Circuit Trek (four 40s-50s aged women from the US) and it was an experience of a lifetime. I am so glad we hired Sherpa expeditions; our guide (Buddha) and porters (Rates and Tates) took impeccable care of us the entire time and were absolute professionals. They all had a positive attitude, were very respectful, encouraging and fun! They were always on time for every meetup or pickup and would help out with anything we needed. The whole trip was way more enjoyable knowing that Buddha would show us the way and pick out great places to stay. We could focus on seeing the sights and enjoying our trek each day. Every hop on the trip from planes, to jeeps, to treks was perfectly executed. The food at all the tea houses was delicious and the rooms were way nicer than I had expected and the majority had attached bathrooms. Buddha answered all our numerous questions graciously - and at our request, seamlessly adjusted some of our schedule on the fly. Buddha, Rates and Tates have super good vibes and I felt completely safe and relaxed during the trek. All four of us 100% recommend Sherpa Expeditions!

Everest Base Camp. This was probably one of the least complicated trekking experiences I have taken. Communications were clear, everyone was on time and there was absolutely no stress at all to the point of getting on the trail. Great company to work with and probably one of the most awe inspiring locations in the world. Especially, if the weather is in your favor. Pasang Temba Sherpa was also amazing and I highly recommend! Not only was he very professional and attentive, but was also a great hiking companion.

This company is awesome! They handled everything from start to finish including pick from the airport. Very easy to communicate with and they were very accommodating and prompt with communication before the trip. Our guide, Praven, was phenomenal! He took very good care of us and was very experienced. He always knew the best places to stay and where the best views were. Praven, adapted our itinerary to fit our needs and he made very good decisions when the weather turned on us. His experience with the trek allowed us to pass successfully despite the snowy weather before the pass. He always reassured us when we were doubtful and asked for our feedback constantly. He was always checking our mood and energy level to ensure we avoided altitude sickness as well. We highly recommend!!

was a bit hesitant sending money to someone i had never met, and trusted with my 13d EBC trek. boy - was that the right choice. these guys are fantastic. i've done treks in africa, alaska, chile/patagonia, and india. this was the best. ram is very good. being local helps him arrange for things the other non-Nepali companies cannot. got us a KTM/Lukla flight - even tho most other companies drive you to Ramechap got me a single room throughout the trek - even upgrading me to a room with an attached bathroom (trust me this is a BIG deal on the trek). most other trekking companies i talked to would charge me 500$+ and guarantee a single room only for 3 nights in Phakding and Namche. for $50 he got me one for all nights. Kumar - our guide - was amazing. no request was out of bounds. he was always smiling, joking, handling 3 people who climbed at very very different speeds recommended i go to Kala Pathar in the evening to see Everest at sunset (best photos of the entire trek). if you do EBC - go to KP in the evening. and EBC the next morning. last minute - we wanted to take a chopper from gorakshep to lukla. ram/kumar handled that for us too. and got us on an earler lukla/KTM flight. many many thanks to Kumar. and our 2 great porters - Santosh and Geyzlen (sp). The most amazing experience of my life. Would not do this trek with any other company. Ram in the head office was always quick in response to my many questions prior to arriving in Nepal. Everything was organised well once I was over there - from airport pick up and drop off, to the trek itself. I had guide Santa, and our Porter Galje. 2 of the most amazing people in Nepal. Extremely friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable in culture and history of the area, and were always focussed on safety to ensure I could complete the trek in the 9 days. A massive thank you to Sherpa Expedition and Trekking for helping me complete The Three Passes Trek this March. The unbelievable setting was matched only by the warmth and depth of the characters that we met along the way. In particular our guide, Rinji Sherpa, was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgable and patient, he is one of the kindest people I have ever met- it helps he is also great for having a laugh with. He’s a true credit to both the company and to trekking in Nepal in general. I borrowed poles, a duffel bag, and a sleeping bag from the team, all of which was of a good quality. The latter kept me warm even when it dropped down to -24C overnight in Gorak Shep. The hike itself is difficult but not unmanageable. As long as you go in with a little preparation, a good base-level fitness (ideally multi-day hike experience) and determination you will most likely be fine. This is a magical place that I’ve been lucky enough to share with some amazing people for the last couple of weeks. It would be hard not to leave without making lasting friendships and memories. This trip was incredible. The Sherpa Expedition team had everything handled from start to finish, including lodging in Kathmandu and on the trek, as well as three meals per day. Ngawang Wangchhu Sherpa was our guide and he made the whole trek an incredible experience in every way.

We had a great trek with Sherpa. They are experienced and organized. Our Sherpa guide Rinji had over 20yrs of experience and we learned a lot from him about the mountains and the Sherpa culture. We appreciated that Sherpa only uses human porters and not yaks for hauling gear (thanks to our porter Tilak!) This keeps the trails more clear and protects jobs for the Sherpa people. We felt very safe with acclimatizing and also with our food and accommodations. Rinji even carried fruit in his backpack especially so we could have some with dinner, which is priceless at the higher tea houses! Thanks team.

I just returned from the 15 day Annapurna Circuit trek, and what an incredible experience! From the first email enquiry I felt totally confident in the team - questions were answered quickly and completely, ensuring I felt confident to begin. On the trek - my guide Lhakpa was excellent: highly experienced and knowledgeable, but also friendly and fun - many laughs were had along the way. The views are stunning, the scenery ever changing, the early starts and cold weather totally worth it to reach the pass and feel that achievement. I completed the15 days Annapurna circuit trek a couple of days ago and am so glad I chose Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. My guide was Dawa and he was so supportive, helpful and encouraging. Dawa took care of everything, he made sure I had enough water, food, good rooms and showers and enough blankets if I was cold. He carried some of my things when the trekking became a bit difficult and prevented me from falling or being caught up in rock slides. Dawa pointed out all the beautiful mountains, villages, special plants, animals and significant places. He even organised a private tour of a 980 year old monastery in Gandaki with the Lama. And he held my hand when I was scared of crossing the first suspension bridge! Dawa was always encouraging and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and safe. I am very grateful he was my guide and recommended him a 100%. Thank you Dawa Bhai.

Did the Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp Trek with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. Our guide Santa Tamang and porter Anish Tamang have far exceeded our expectations. Sharing with us the culture of the Khumbu region further enhanced our experience during the trek. Keeping us motivated when the trek gets tough and making sure that we safe and in good hands. Friendships were made! We were very impressed when we made last minute changes to flight out of Lukla Airport and Santa was able to accommodate and get us early flights out the next day before the weather turned bad. Sherpa Expedition is a super reliable company. Ram was really helpful from the start—our original plan was to trek to Everest Base Camp, but bad weather kept flights grounded at Lukla for days. In just a couple of hours, we came up with a great backup plan for the Annapurna Circuit and set off the same day. What made this experience truly unforgettable was Rames, an incredible guide who supported me the whole way. He gave me great tips on everything—food, where to stay, managing fatigue, the best times to move, and tons of interesting facts about the places we passed through. Finished the Kathmandu Cultural Tour with Shankar Bhattarai and the Everest Base Camp Trek with Sak Kumar Tamang. It was an incredible and affordable trip and I have only positive things to say about the two incredible guides! The cultural tour took us to four key locations of historical and religious significance. Shankar was incredibly knowledgeable and had detailed answers to every question we had and spent extra time at each site giving information. The Everest Base Camp Trek led by Kumar Tamang was beyond expectations. Kumar was friendly, knowledgeable, and caring, and it was great to have him lead the trip. He took the time to tell us local knowledge, check on our health, and tell stories. I hope to return to do another trek with him one day!

I would like to share my excellent experience on the Annapurna Circuit trek with guide Mani and porter Dawa, I fully endorse both these men as trekking professionals. Mani was a superstar, he clearly has a deep knowledge of the mountains, which he used to ensure our trip ran smoothly. He was very clear in communication and I appreciated his excellent advice. He is a great guy as well and I enjoyed getting to know him. Dawa is another man of the mountains and I am glad he was on the trek with me. Staffs were great. Due to pandemic we were forced to to postpone our trip and re-booking process was very easy.

Had a fantastic experience. Long story but our Everest trek got cancelled due to another company’s incompetence, so we contacted Sherpa Expedition to see if we could salvage our time in Nepal. They organised everything within 24 hours, made it super easy for us to change our plans, and enabled us to complete Annapurna base camp instead, which was incredible. Our guides Budda and Hari were amazing, so helpful and patient, and we now have amazing memories of our time in Nepal. Thank you so much!

My wife and I decided to we wanted to hike the Annapurna Circuit on a short timeline, and were disappointed to learn that Nepal recently passed legislation that would require us to hire a guide. We were hoping for a more romantic get-away and feared that having a guide as a third wheel may be awkward at best and intrusive at worst, but after a 6 day adventure, we couldn't be happier with our experience. Sherpa Expeditions met us at our hotel upon arrival in Nepal and had all our paperwork in order. They also helped us find good but affordable insurance in case we required a helicopter evacuation. They explained our itinerary and then made sure any flights, taxis, and jeep rides were arranged to get us where we needed to be on time. Our guide, Pravin Jimba (definitely request him if you can) not only helped us navigate the terrain and get the best rooms at the best teahouses, but more importantly he helped us experience the Himalayas with a more Nepalese perspective. He knew when to give us space, but also when to step in and encourage us to push ourselves at the higher altitudes, even during a rest day, so that we were as prepared as possible to cross Thorang La Pass at 17,500' with minimal acclimation. I can't stress enough that the experience would have been way more uncomfortable without his expert guidance. It was the trip of a lifetime we hoped it would be.

I did a 7 day trek for the Lukla-Gokyo-Cho la Pass-Everest Base Camp route with Sherpa Expeditions with a friend. We chose a condensed and challenging but do-able route with the helicopter out option. Their travel guidance, professionalism and expertise was top notch. Before booking, I had considered doing this solo/unguided as I am an avid backpacker in the USA and do many things solo. However, I'm so glad I decided against that, and looking back I could see no way I would have been able to handle the logistics, unpredictability of weather, and unplanned events beyond your control without the help of this tour company. You have to realize that you are so far out of reach from the big city, it is nearly impossible to get necessary updates on things that may affect your trip, or if you get altitude sickness, and whenever you need something, they are there to help and respond immediately. Dawa Sherpa was our guide and Gorgi Sherpa was our porter. Both were super friendly and helpful, always waiting for you to be comfortable and get settled at the teahouses. They make sure all your needs are met and stay up with you until you are ready to call it a night. Each night you are briefed about the next day's hike so you can mentally prepare for what's ahead, how long or challenging, and when to be ready in the morning. Having both a porter and guide worked out really well, especially if you are hiking with people of different abilities so that you can split up if needed so you can go at your own pace. Ram was working the office and is super responsive and passionate about helping you and answering all your questions. I contacted him months ahead but didn't book until later when I was 100% sure I could go. I never felt pressure to book and everything was able to be confirmed with a short amount of time/notice. We were really happy we chose Sherpa Expeditions for such a big trip and couldn't have made it through the trip without them! Don't hesitate to message them or ask questions.... Ram is there to help! For such a big trip, I definitely would recommend Sherpa Expeditions as you do not want to mess up such a once in a lifetime experience. Btw, I went late November which had clear skies but was very cold. Many pros and cons - if you don't want to share the trails and have crowded teahouses, this is an excellent time to go but just be prepared for some really cold nights! But the views are unparalleled!

Amazing Trip Experience!

We had a great trek with Dawa, Kedar and Orrey (don't know how to spell all these names.) They spotted monkeys on the trail, took lots of photos for us, and served us all of our meals and drinks like they were waiters too. Dawa helped out my friend who was getting tired on the trail by carrying his daybag for him. He also gave his headlamp to another friend who forgot his. He always made sure that we were comfortable and having a good time. He always asked if we wanted more tea or needed anything else. They were always smiling, helpful, patient and happy. A real pleasure to spend 5 days exploring the beautiful scenery with. Dawa was especially knowledgeable about the height of mountain peaks, the names of plants and animals, and answered all my questions about the local culture. He has an app on his phone that will tell you the names of each mountain peak as you move the phone to face the mountain ranges. We stayed in tea houses with private bathrooms 4 out of 5 nights. Had hot water in 3 of them, tepid water in 1 of them, and mostly cold water in 1 of them. Pretty good food served. All had nice views. We were pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable they were than we expected. The sleeping bags and big puffy jackets that they had for us were super warm and seemed like new. Can't say enough good things about our experience. Would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Nepal and wanting to do a trek that's not too long but gives you amazing views and experiences.
